Introduce Yourself

Hello and a warm welcome to the Keyfactor Community!

We’re excited to have you here and look forward to getting to know you. The community is all about connecting with peers, sharing knowledge and learning from one another.

To get things started, tell us a little about yourself:

  1. Start with the basics: Where do you work, what is your role and how long you’ve been working with cybersecurity, PKI, machine identity, or the broader digital security industry? Example: “Hi everyone, I’m a PKI engineer at ABC company. I’ve been working with PKI and certification management for five years.”
  2. Life outside of work. When you’re not working, what’s your go-to activity for fun? Example: “When I’m not managing certificates, you’ll usually find me hiking, experimenting with new recipes or or trying new coffee shops.”
  3. Why you’re here: What are you hoping to find or achieve in the Keyfactor Community? Example: “I’ve used Command for three years and still discover new capabilities. I’m here to exchange use-cases, learn recommended practices, and connect with other users.”
  4. Your Keyfactor superpower: What are you known for on your team? Example:  I’m the go-to person for certificate lifecycle management and automation.”

Every introduction helps strengthen our community. Whether you’re just getting started with Keyfactor, or have years of experience, your perspective is valuable.

We’re glad you are here and looking forward to building an incredible community with you. Welcome!

Hi everyone. I thought I'd kickoff introductions myself. I’m Heather Hagedorn, your Keyfactor Community Manager. I’m excited to welcome you and, even more importantly, to build this community together.

I’ve spent much of my career building customer communities and creating ways for people to connect, learn from one another, share ideas, and get answers. I’m newer to PKI, machine identity, and certificate lifecycle management than many of you, so I’m learning too - and excited to do it with this community.

A little about me outside of work: I’m based in the Kansas City area and love spending time with family and friends, boating at the Ozarks, traveling, catching a Broadway show whenever I can, and attending airshows. I’m also a Make-A-Wish volunteer, something that is very special to me.

What I hope for this community is pretty simple: that it becomes a place you know you can come to when you have a question, want to learn something new, have an experience to share, or just want to connect with others who do what you do.

Why I’m here: My goal is to make the Keyfactor Community a place you come to whether you’re looking for an answer, sharing ideas, learning something new, or connecting with someone who understands the challenges you’re working through.

My Keyfactor superpower: Bringing people together.  I enjoy making connections and creating opportunities for our users to learn from one another.

Most importantly, this is your community. I want to hear what would make it most valuable to you, so please reach out, share an idea, or simply say hello.

Welcome to the Keyfactor Community! 😄

  1. Hello everyone, I work for a supply chain company. My role is a senior manager in security automation. I’ve been working in cyber security, defence, PKI, forensic computing for 18 years.
  2. When I am not working I’m a part time bee keeper, often found working on one of my Land Rover Defenders, or house renovations. Love reading, anything from agriTech to zoology 😊.
  3. I’ve deployed and used both on prem Keyfactor command and PKIaaS, in finance and supply chain. I’m here to learn more, understand how people are using the technology, and what best practise or better ways of working we could apply. Happy to contribute and support where I can.
  4. Being talkative! I’m known for finding creative solutions to business challenges and knowing how to get the most out of the capabilities

    Regards

Hi everyone,

Based in NL, I work for a financial service provider. My (work-)lifelong involvement has been with cryptography, key management, PKI and the like. And with PQC on the horizon (or even closer) cryptography finally gets the attention it deserves 😉

I hope the Keyfactor Community is a place to improve the already great capabilities of the products, share knowledge, gain understanding and also to share a cry if our ideas are too much future focused 🤓

I don't need personal superpowers, I need to know people who have them (or know where I can find those people, i.e. on this community).👌

  1. Hi everyone, I’m Weston Davis. I help clients modernize large code estates using OpenRewrite and Lossless Semantic Trees — basically, making large-scale code changes safely and consistently. I’ve spent most of my career around open source, developer tooling, cloud, and DevSecOps, including Red Hat, Docker, Elastic, and IBM.
  2. Outside of work, I’m based in North Carolina with my wife, two daughters, and our dog. I spend as much time as I can mountain biking, fly fishing and skiing, coach my daughters’ soccer, and follow Arsenal.
  3. Why I’m here: Moderne is working with Keyfactor, and I wanted to learn more directly from the people using the technology — particularly the challenges you’re dealing with around PKI, machine identity, and managing change across large environments.
  4. Superpower: Untangling Christmas lights.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Hello! I am Mikyla Mickna. I am a Product Manager here at Keyfactor for the Command Product. I have been on the product team for 5 years, and I was on the Command software engineering team for two years before that.

Outside of work, I just became a mom to a beautiful baby girl with my husband. I am always looking to connect with other working moms! I also love to read and kayak when I can.

I am here to help with all things Command.

My superpower is being able to find someone to help. If I don’t know it, I will find someone who does.

  1. I’ve worked in IT for Blue Cross in PA for 35yrs; including Data Networking, Helpdesk, Server administrator & Manager, and Security. The last 5 years implementing several failed private PKI environments (Venafi, AppViewX, Entrust) and finally Keyfactor.
  2. Life outside of work... Pretty boring 😴. We love to get together with our kids for destination holiday gatherings, attend pro football games, and expensive restaurants (on my tab of course).
  3. After settling in on Keyfactor PKIaaS in early 2022, the bulk of my hours are dedicated to fully-automated cert management. One step forward… two steps back!
  4. I can use ChatGPT with the best of ‘em.

Hello everyone!

  1. My role and experience: I am an integrations engineer with Keyfactor, and have been with the company for about 1.5 years.
  2. Life outside of work. As a coffee connoisseur, I’m always on the lookout for new coffee blends to try out and exploring the various coffeeshops around me. I’ve even got a coffee roaster, and do my own roasts from time-to-time. I’m also an avid runner, participating in a few long-distance races each year.
  3. Why you’re here: I understand the importance of building a solid community to share knowledge where it’s needed!
  4. Your Keyfactor superpower: Experience with Kubernetes, REST APIs, and integrations 😊

Hi everyone!  I'm Muhannad Abuzahrieh, a Software Development Intern on the Analytics & AI team. I'm excited to be part of this community and connect with others who are passionate about technology, innovation, and solving challenging problems.

In my current role, I'm helping build out MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers across our product suite, creating foundations that make it easier for AI systems to interact with our products in meaningful and scalable ways. I am also helping out the TCP team with their products.

A little about me outside of work: I'm a first-generation college graduate and the first person in my family to earn a college degree, which is something I'm incredibly proud of. That experience taught me the value of persistence, hard work, and staying focused on long-term goals. When I'm not working, I enjoy exploring new technologies, building projects, going to the gym, and learning about the latest developments in AI.

Why I'm here: To continue growing as an engineer, deepen my understanding of AI and software development, and help wherever I can. I believe some of the best learning happens through collaboration and conversation. My main goal is to innovate.

My superpower: Strong ambition and a drive to win. I set high goals for myself, enjoy taking on difficult challenges, and stay determined until I find an answer.
